Kangaroo Island tour

Kangaroo Island is 120 kilometres southwest of
Adelaide just 16 kilometres off the tip of the
Fleurieu Peninsula. Officially discovered by English
explorer Matthew Flinders in 1802, and visited
shortly after by French explorer Nicolas Baudin, the
Island was first settled by deserters from English
and American whaling ships before its official
European settlement in 1836.
Beautiful Kangaroo Island has a variety of different
landscapes and environments -Â stunning beaches,
forests, desert dunes and farmland. It's the place
to go, to see amazing native wildlife in the wild.
So it's no wonder that it's one of Australia's
National Landscapes.
Discover South Australia's nature-based tourism
destination, Kangaroo Island. Take a short ferry
ride across Backstairs Passage and experience the
natural wonders of Remarkable Rocks, playful
Australian Sea Lions and New Zealand fur seals at
Seal Bay. Familiarise yourself with sand boarding at
Little Sahara and then enjoy a relaxing day at on
the white sands of Stokes Bay on the North coast.
